Peace of Mind
The Intermission staff is fully qualified to care for your child when you need to take a break. Our experienced staff has received training in behavior management, administration of medications, first aid and CPR. This means safety for your child and peace of mind for you.
A Friend and a Companion
Our promise to you is that your child will enjoy a safe, stimulating and challenging environment with varied activities and meaningful companionship. Our promise to your child is an opportunity to share new experiences and rewarding interactions. At Intermission, we do not focus on disabilities when looking for opportunities. Whether it’s a trip to the YMCA, a dinner out, a visit to the zoo or an evening of video games at the local arcade, your child will have fun.
There When You Need Us
The Intermission staff works with you to accommodate our needs and your schedule. Everyone’s life has its own rhythm, yours is no different. You can trust that when you need us, we’ll be there.
Services
Intermission is an Allliance Program between ROI, WMU's Center for Disability Resources and MRC. Facilitated by three trusted organizations with a legacy in the Kalamazoo community, Intermission offers one-on-one and group services, drop-in dates and monthly activities. The Intermission team is ready to partner with families to provide Respite Program that children will enjoy and parents can feel good about.
