Group Homes

While ROI provides a number of services, our original service is still the core of what we do: group homes for adults with disabilities.

ROI’s group homes are accredited by CARF, the rehabilitation accreditation commission. CARF is a private, not-for-profit organization that accredits programs and services in Adult Day Services, Assisted Living, Behavioral Health, Employment and Community Services, and Medical Rehabilitation. CARF develops and maintains practical and relevant standards of quality for such programs to determine how well an organization is serving its consumers. Every year the standards are reviewed and new ones are developed to keep pace with changing conditions and current consumer needs. ROI is proud to have received CARF accreditation, an indicator of ROI’s very high standards and quality.

Dedicated, Quality Staff
ROI offers staff who are well supervised and trained in the areas of CPR, First Aid, Medication Administration, Behavior Management, person centered planning and much more. Every member of the ROI staff undergoes a criminal history background check and driving record check. Our staff is dedicated, committed to providing quality services and eager to help meet the needs of the families we serve.

Dedicated Staff

"Home" is More Than a House
Each group home is more than a building; it is truly a "home" for the people who live there. A group home is different from the traditional "institution", where people may share a room with several other residents and are given few personal choices. In a group home, choices are the rule, not the exception. The people served by ROI go about their lives in much the same way as most people in the general public, deciding for themselves what to wear, where to go, and which activities and interests to pursue. Members of the staff of each home provide the support necessary to make these choices achievable.

Truly a Home

ROI’s group homes serve a diverse group of people. Some are as young as 18, while others are in their 80s. Some have challenging behaviors. Others have challenging medical needs, and require 24-hour nursing (available at one of ROI’s group homes). Each individual is unique, and ROI celebrates this uniqueness every day.

Each home is as unique as the people who live there. Homes serve as few as 3 or as many as 15 people at a time. They are located in quiet suburban neighborhoods, urban subdivisions, and country settings. All of them have one thing in common, however: they provide a comfortable, safe, and enjoyable place that the people we serve can truly call "home".
