EMI's Heroes

Fall 2004

EMI would like to honor Kristina L. Nelson as its hero. Kristina is a TAL lead facilitator, a full time student in the College of Education at Western Michigan University, and a Michigan Army National Guard. She is passion about life, learning and her desire to make a positive impact on the lives of youth and teens. In addition to all of her commitments, Kristina found an additional 20 volunteer hours in her busy schedule to champion EMI's first newsletter of November 2004.

Kristina L. Nelson, Hero!

We thank Kristina for modeling the same leadership and hero character values taught in the Teens As Leaders Program.

August 2004

Charnae Booker is a 13 year old 8th grader at Hillside Middle School who enjoys Math. She participated in the Teens As Leaders Program offered by Enhancement Ministries, Inc. at Lincoln Branch YMCA. Charnae defines a hero as one who is loving, kind, nice, strong, respectful and a good listener. One of Charnae's heroes is her grandmother, Thelma. Charnae demonstrates her hero skills and leadership characteristics by being a good listener for her best friend.

Charnae Booker, Hero!

Congratulations to Charnae, as well as all of EMI's other heroes
and those yet to come!
